i have a secret...

i secretly want to be 86 years old... today my mother and i went to the mall. while i was in line paying, i pulled out my change and gave the lady to the penny the right amount. my mom laughed but i told her "i got your back to". so up came her total and i started digging to find the correct change, now i just need my coupons... all i could think was these people behind us must be like "oh for the love of god, give it up with the change, your a young girl". i just walked away from my mom with the hopes for one of us to stop laughing... oh to spend the rest of my days with my mom... good times good times!!!

rant!!!

lastnight matt and i went out to moxies with my dad. we met there about 7:00 waited about 20 mins. for a water and a pop, it was crazy busy there. it took them over an hour to bring our appitizers soup, dry ribs, and bread. and then i swear no more then 5 mins. they brought our food, cold at that... mine was a salad so that was ok but my dads and matts steaks were cold and under cooked. they sent them back and dads was good but they put peppercorn sauce on matts steak which he doesnt like, and it still wasnt cooked right. so they took matts off and gave us a $25.00 gift card. it was nice and all but it took us two hours, i wish i could have had the last hour of my life back... so after all this waiting (i cant stand waiting) we then had to go to BINGO and wait for 20 mins. to pick up matts mom. so when we came around the corner to park right up front there were two cabs parked right beside eachother. matt honked his horn and the one cab who was parked where he should be stuck out his arm and waved it like "go around" so i rolled down the window and told them "this is a one way street with one lane, move" so the "wrong" cab finished up his conversatioan and slowly pulled about 4 feet ahead leaving us right beside the "right" cab. i told him i was going to call the cops on his friend, and he told me to go right ahead... finally he moved so we could park. i could just see it now me fighting two cabies outside the bingo hall...my oh my!!! the rage was strong in me lastnight...

ahh hmm... just so you know!!! this is one way to prolong the life of your pumpkins...

One technique is to coat all cut surfaces of the pumpkin with petroleum jelly immediately after they have been carved. This includes a light coating of the entire inside of the pumpkin. If you can't do the whole inside, at least try to coat the design that you've cut into the pumpkin. The petroleum jelly acts as a barrier to seal in the pumpkins internal moisture to help slow down the dehydration process of the pumpkin.

cookies

im all excited for halloween this year and one of the things i wanted to do was make halloween sugar cookies. so i got the cookie cutters from my mom and mixed all the "cokkie stuff" together in my fancy schmancy pink kitchen aid mixer. now either i cant make homemade cookies or sugar cookies are hard (im thinking i suck). i was going to make 4 dz. but i got like 1 dz. i really didnt do somehting right when i mixed it up because i would try to roll it in to a ball (stick it all together) so i could roll it out flat but when i tried to roll it out it just cracked and crumbled. so when i finally got somehting i could use the cookie cutters on i tried to pick them up and they would fall apart. i did manage to fill the first cookie sheet but the first batch i did i used really small cutters and i burnt them. so i tried one more sheet and that was it...

northernlights and rainbows

i had some things to write about for the last few days but just havent gotten around to it till today. but i first had to check out everybodys posts, and i seen karens (the first part) and this is my very TRUE story. a few years ago i was working at mac island in the hockey concession for all the little hockey boys and their parents. every so often a few oriential (i hope thats the most politicaly correct term) couples would wander threw asking to go take pictures on the hockey and curling ice. i just figured they were coming to see the wonderful fort mcmurray (cough cough). but after a friend was talkign to them he discovered that "they" believe that if you concieve a child under the northernlights that child will be brilliant... call me crazy but i dont believe fort mcmurray and brilliant go together, well people wise anyways. i thought man could you imagine mid october-november doin it outside on a blanket, brrrrrrrrrr!!! but then about a year and a half ago at the liquor store two oriential couples came in and they spoke very little english and they were trying to find something to drink. they took for ever looking around and i seen one of the girls hit "her man" and told him to "make sure he didnt get to drunk". i guess she wants a smart little baby and you cant get one if "he" passes out on you!!! ok story two... yesterday matt and i had to go to the airport to send something to his mom. so coming back to town we seen this beautiful rainbow, and it was so bright and we could see the full rainbow and then there was a larger one on top of it but we could only see part of it and it wasnt as near as bright. but as we were coming down beacon hill it looked like the end of the rainbow was on the road, and usually when you think your going to "catch it" it always moves farther away, but this one didnt as we got closer it started to go away and it was like we were driving through the rainbow... matt asked where the pot of gold was but i told him the leprechaun has the new visa check card and no longer keeps it in the pot (please tell me you guys know this comercial)... story three... i woke up today dying for peanu tbutter toast and milk. so i came out to the kitchen, cut the bread, toasted it, got the milk, sat and began to eat. the toast was so dry but thats ok i had milk... for the first time in my life i drank sour milk, blah... so then i thought k ill have pop... pop was flat... so to recap toast dry, milk bad, pop flat...grrrrrrrrrrrr...
